It is with good reason that the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) has been referred to as the 'Gold Standard' in wine education.
- The WSET is a London based organisation that has been offering comprehensive wine training to industry for over 35 years.
- WSET currently offers their programs in 47 countries and 13 languages across the Globe.
- Last year, over 24,000 students took a WSET course.

- The WSET program consists of 6 qualifications split into 5 levels with a certificate issued on successful completion of each.
- A student who the WSET Advanced Certificate may apply to use the WSET logo and the term WSET Certified to indicate the level of knowledge attained.
- Students who complete the Wine & Spirit Education Trust Diploma in Wines & Spirits may join the Institute of Wines & Spirits and indicate their achievement with the post nominal AIWS.
